Dance Èkó is produced by KVLT Entertainment Ltd (RC 1729428), Lagos, Nigeria ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect through danceeko.com, our emails and our WhatsApp number (+234 814 604 9163), how we use it, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
- Sign up details: your name, email address, phone number and, for campus sign ups, your state and school.
- Ticket orders: your name, email and the tickets you buy. Payments are processed by Jetron Ticket and its payment partners; we never see or store your card details.
- WhatsApp messages: your WhatsApp number, profile name and the messages you send us, plus delivery and read receipts.
- How you found us: the campaign or link you arrived from (for example an Instagram ad), and basic device information needed to run the website.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count website visits and page views, and understand referral sources, country and device categories. This analytics does not use tracking cookies. We remove non-campaign query parameters and URL fragments before sending page-view data; sign-up names, email addresses and phone numbers are not sent to this analytics service.
How we use it
- To send the updates you signed up for: festival news, ticket releases, camping, merch and the weekly playlist, by email and WhatsApp.
- To process ticket orders and send confirmations.
- To answer your questions and help with orders, including on WhatsApp.
- To understand which campaigns work and improve the festival and website.
We rely on your consent (which you give when you sign up or message us) and, for ticket orders, on what's needed to fulfil your purchase.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the services that help us run Dance Èkó:
- Jetron Ticket (ticketing and payments)
- Wix (email marketing and contact management)
- Meta Platforms (the WhatsApp Business Platform)
- Google (Google Workspace and Sheets, where sign ups are stored)
- Vercel (website hosting and cookie-free website analytics)
- Anthropic (if enabled, to help draft answers to WhatsApp questions)
Some of these services store data outside Nigeria. We use providers that protect it to a standard consistent with the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
How long we keep it
We keep sign up and contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and ticket records for as long as needed for the festival, accounting and legal requirements.
Your choices and rights
- Email: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
- WhatsApp: reply STOP (or tap Stop promotions) and we'll stop sending updates. Reply START to come back.
- Access, correction or deletion: email info@kvltwrld.com with the email or phone number you used, and we'll respond within 30 days.
You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Data deletion
To delete your data, including WhatsApp conversations, email info@kvltwrld.com with the subject "Delete my data" and the email or phone number you used. We'll confirm once it's done.
Age
Dance Èkó is an 18+ event and our services are not directed at anyone under 18.
